Pepper Hockey

Format: 3v3 games

Location: Pioneer Park, Prescott, AZ

Dates: Wednesday nights, 07/03 - 07/31/2024 (for now).

Times: 6-8 pm

Registration Fee: July 3 is free, after that, the cost will be $5/player

Rules:

• 10 minutes games
• Highest score at the end of 10 minutes wins. Ties are ties; no overtime/shootouts.
• Teams may be made of 3 or 4 skaters. Only 3 are allowed on the rink at one time, resulting in the 4th player being a sub.
• No goalies - instead we are shooting at a board that has covered most of the net.

·  Scoring:

• The board covering the net has 5 holes. A puck through different holes equals different number of points allowed (goals).
• A puck put through either of the top two holes in the corners will result in 3 goals awarded.
• A puck put through the center, and largest, hole will be awarded 2 goals.
• A puck put through either of the two lower holes will be awarded 1 goal.

·  Penalties:

• Penalties are not served, rather penalties will result in a free shot from the slot.

·  Face-offs and Play:

• There is only one face-off, and that is at the start of the game.
• Play will not stop, even after a goal is scored. The team that is scored on will retrieve the puck and immediately start play from their zone.
• The only stoppages will be in the event of a penalty, in which the ref will stop play to set up the shooter. As soon as the shot is taken, play resumes.
